McLaren has just revealed their new car in the Super Sports Series. The most refined and road-biased McLaren car ever built, according to McLaren. I present to you: the McLaren 570GT.
Alongside with the ‘cheap’ 540C and the 570S, the McLaren 570GT will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. It offers the owner practicality and comfort, but yet it remains a true McLaren car (so insane, just insane ). It is designed for the long-distance trips and for the day-to-day user.
One of these practical things that the 570GT is the Glass Hatch. No tiny rear window for the driver anymore, but a real big exemplar will replace it. Under the Glas Hatch also lies a true Touring Deck, which offers an additional 220 liters of storage. With the front luggage place untouched, the McLaren 570GT offers 370 liters of storage. Another +1 of practicality for the 570GT!
Inside the McLaren 570GT
The interior of the McLaren 570GT is again designed for the comfort, capability, and practicality. Things like electrically adjustable heated seats, front and rear sensors, easy entry/ exit parking controls, and soft-close doors. The engine as well as the exhaust has been made more quiet compared to the 570S.
Now let’s talk about the speed and power of the car! The car is fatter than its younger brothers, that’s for sure. With a weight of 1350 kg the car can do the 100 km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the 570S. The max speed of the car remains the same, namely 328 km/h (204 mph).
We all know the 3.8 liter V8 that is used in all McLarens by now. The one in the McLaren 570GT produces 570 Ps (562 bhp) and 600 Nm of torque.
