The first Aston Martin DB11 spyshots has been made public today. The long awaited DB9 successor will be present at the Geneva Auto Salon of this year.
Aston Martin already leaked the name of the new British supercar and some days back, Aston Martin released more information about the car by announcing that the engine will be a 5.2L V12 that is good for 600hp. The shape of the Aston could be easily guessed by thinking back to the DB10 and the popular Vanquish. The head light signature that the DB10 featured can also again be seen on the DB11. Others say that the DB11 is partly based on the DBX concept.
The interior will be identical to that of a Mercedes: the rotary selection button on the central console and the silver bow around the interior components. The chassis will be fully new.
The Aston Martin DB11 will be the first Aston created under vision of the new head Andy Palmer. He wanted to lead Aston Martin into a new era of supercars, which included the production of a new car every year or so. The second boss ( yes indeed ) is former engineer of Lotus Matt Becker. He was bought away by Aston Martin regarding the development of the new DB11 model.
As the spyshots show, Aston Martin is carrying out the latest test drive procedures, meaning that the DB11 will probably go on sale next year. The Volante version will be heading out of the factory the year after.
